About the project:

SF-based startup, Volansi, takes first spot in the 'Delivery' category, with its impressive commitment to improving commercial deliveries using long-range, heavy-payload drones. Collaborating with Merck, Volansi launched a commercial drone project in North Carolina to pilot the delivery of cold chain medicines, the first-ever such delivery by drone in the US. This system requires minimal infrastructure and humans to operate, with the delivery route being the first of three phases in a project to improve access to healthcare.
